A Double-Barrel Man of God has informed me that I have not made a post for a while.
In part that is because things have been pretty busy recently, and amazingly, when we are almost to the peak of the busy-ness, here I am writing a post! So, what has been keeping me, and everyone around me, so busy?
A little over a week ago was the End-of-Term Celebration Meeting in London. It was a really sweet time, with many students present. As well as enjoying a BBQ together, the purpose of this time was for the students and also the families to share their top enjoyment from this past year. A brother in Cardiff started off the sharing, despite not being there – he had emailed in his testimony!
I was so encouraged to see and hear these young saints sharing their enjoyment of pursuing Christ with all those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Some of them I had met when they came to the first welcome meeting back in September, and to see them now, overflowing their love for the Lord… just wonderful!
I enjoyed our little home meeting this evening. M cooked a yummy dinner, A and D were chasing one another around the table, H made cookies, P pulled out the ice cream, and F was visiting from San Diego. We sung some songs, not entirely inspired by the royal wedding, but nevertheless today’s big event was a picture of Jesus, our dear Bridegroom, coming soon for His Bride, His longed for counterpart. And what a story that is!
